Our last event, the Pokemon Go Gen Safari Zone in Yokosuka, Japan, is coming to an end, and our Pokemon GO Summer Tour 2018 is coming to an end! The event began on Wednesday, August 29, and lasts until September 2 (Japan Standard Time) in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Yokosuka is an amazing city known for its love of American culture and its beautiful natural scenery. Three city parks (Three ika, Verny and Kurimahama) will participate in this special event. Trainers will be able to find pokemon that are usually not common in Japan, such as grass-type and flying-type Pokémon Tropius, Unown, etc.! Although many exciting Pokémon will be attracted throughout the event, raid battles will not be available at the event site.

Yokosuka’s PokémonGO Safari Zone is a free event, but those who wish to participate need to apply through a special website in Yokosuka City. The application time is 10:00 am, July 6 (Friday) Japanese Standard Time, and the deadline is 10:00 am (January 20) Japanese Standard Time, so if you are interested in participating, please do not delay! If the application exceeds the scale of the event, Yokosuka City will hold a lottery to select participants. If you choose this option, the trainer will receive a ticket containing a 2D barcode. Please note that trainers without tickets will not encounter Pokemon Go Genat the event venue.

The Yokosuka Pokemon Go Gen Safari Zone event will last five days, but the gameplay can only be a one-day experience. Unlock Zapdos Day during Professor Willow’s Global Challenge!


Are you ready for the second round of Professor Willow’s Global Challenge? From July 14th to July 15th, every region of the world must meet the challenge during Pokemon Go Gen Fest in Chicago, USA! If each region achieves its own goals, candy-related rewards will be unlocked starting July 16th-including rewards for catching Pokémon and participating in Raid Battles. Trainers can also unlock bonuses to reduce the distance required to hatch eggs!

If all is achieved, then during Zapdos Day, a global trainer featuring the legendary Pokémon Zapdos will get up to five Raid passes when spinning photo discs in the gym. Wow, what a wonderful weekend! Many thanks to the 21,000 trainers who participated in the Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, the 180,000 trainers who participated in the surrounding area of ​​Chicago, and the tens of millions of trainers who participated in the Professor Willow Global Challenge!
